Strong Pilates - Islington

Gym Concepts were contacted by the new UK franchisor for this Australian Franchise to work with the first UK franchisees on their new site in Islington.

The Challenge

Given that this was a new franchise opportunity there were 2 main challenges.

The first was to ensure that the materials, finishes and aesthetics of the completed fit out met with full compliance of the franchisor’s design scope.

The second challenge was to amend an existing basement spec build office environment in to a new Pilates Studio with bathroom facilities.

The Solution

A soft strip out was completed of the landlord’s spec build, partition and cellular enclosures, mechanical and electrical installations were modified to compliment the new studio and bathroom layouts reusing all existing materials and services wherever possible.

We then installed 2 new bathroom zones including showers, WCs, and hand wash facilities. In addition to the MEP works we also included for partitions, ceramic tiling, floor finishing and full decorative works.
